"My existence is an illusion without you ", says a metaphysical poet.
The word "You"... maybe any person, thing, animal, plant, or institution, value, society, world, etc. We continuously change this " You". We are unstable in thinking leading to varied thoughts, but a Metaphysical poet stabilizes his thoughts revolves them around only one thing or person. His mind is not Fickle. Whatever object he sees, he thinks about the thing on which he is concentrating. All the time he compares other things only with the thing which he concentrates on in order to show the greatness of the thing he admires. His concentration power is more, he is like a person who is immersed in only one and one thing, who is in samadhi. He is having more stability than any other ordinary man.
Of course, it might be silly to concentrate on a trivial thing but can anyone concentrate permanently on an important thing?
A person who can concentrate on a trivial thing for years can concentrate deeply on an important thing for his whole life. Example: Surdas. Needed are the inspiration and proper guidance which come (arise ) from heart and soul rather than outward inculcation. ఉట్టినందుకోలేని వాడు ఆకాశానందుకోగలడా !
Next, it can be bad because it is too much or because we are bored and we need a variety ( as we are the admirers of variety it is the thing on which we permanently concentrate - a Paradox).
If it is bad to think of a woman one should have the guts to do bad and also one should have the guts to do good. In this respect, it is said that Satan is as great as God only their directions are different but the man swinging between good and bad like a pendulum shows his mental weakness, cowardice.
Me - thought - you
Me - thought - emptiness - ( soonyam) - unnatural situation except for madmen and saints.
bad thought -Pendulum (thought ) -good thought
good - indecisiveness -bad
Anyhow analysis for the reasons of bondage, Emancipation of thoughts and discrimination between feeling and slavery are the remedies to get out of such overindulgence ( ఇవి అతికి నివారణోపాయాలు )
